About
A fest for the Thai BL show Ingredients and the channel that produces it, CentralFood TV!
Much like its namesake the Great British Bake Off, this fest will consist of three challenges: the “signature bake”, the “technical challenge”, and a “showstopper”. Each challenge will have its own week to be the star of the show, starting January 1st with the signature bake challenge.
You are free to participate in as many or as few of these as you’d like; signing up for one does not obligate you to do the others, and doing one does not preclude your participation in the rest. All entries must be focused on something drawn from the CentralFood TV channel; crossovers are welcome, provided at least one of the primary character(s) is a CentralFood TV character, actor, or recipe.
Signature Bake
The first week will be signature bake week! Your signature bake entry may be in any medium, any length or size, and may be posted to any platform - although if you post it somewhere other than to Tumblr, Twitter, the AO3 Collection, or the Dreamwidth comm, then you must arrange to send it to the mods somehow. If you choose to do something in real life, such as cosplay, fibercraft, Lego, making one of the recipes, etc, then please plan to post photos, a video, and/or some kind of written documentation of what you did.
Technical Challenge
This week's challenge will be bingo! You can request your own unique bingo card at any time before November 27th.
All technical challenge works must be posted between November 1st and November 30th in order to count toward making bingo.
Showstopper
The big one! The third week will be the showstopper. For your showstopper, you will pick a prompt from a list (which will go live on August 28th) and create a fanwork for that prompt.
Showstoppers can be in any medium with the following requirements:
-fics must be at least 2,000 words (collaborative fics at least 2,500)
-podfics must be of fics that are at least 2,000 words in length (collaborative podfics at least 2,500)
-vids must be at least 1 minute
-all other fanworks must represent roughly the equivalent amount of work, which we are considering to be at least 5-10 hours worth of labor.
If you want to make the case for a highly involved work of a shorter length than specified here, such as a drabble or a poem, involving a commensurate amount of work, please contact the mods.
